Danny R. Williams, JD, MNO, LNHA – Community Leader of the Month

Danny R. Williams is President & CEO of Eliza Bryant Village whose mission is to provide quality services, outreach programs and a dignified, compassionate and secure living environment for seniors. He assumed this position in January 2017, after serving for the previous 10 years as Executive Director of Circle Health Services (formerly, The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland), an Ohio nonprofit, that became a federally qualified health center in June 2012. Circle Health provides medical, dental, behavioral health and HIV/AIDS services to thousands of medically under-served patients every year.

Danny has spent his professional career serving the Greater Cleveland community as a practicing attorney, public official and nonprofit executive. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Princeton, a Law degree from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

He has also completed the Program for Senior Government Executives at the Kennedy School at Harvard, and the Program for Health Care Executives at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

Danny recently passed state and national certifying exams resulting in his award of a Nursing Home Administrator’s license. Danny served as Cleveland’s Law Director in Mayor Michael R. White’s administration and later as Cuyahoga County Administrator, before assuming leadership positions in the non-profit sector.

He has been Executive Director of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, CEO of the Greater Cleveland Roundtable, a social justice advocacy organization, and Sr. V.P. and General Counsel of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Cleveland’s chamber of commerce.

Danny is a past president of the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics and has served on several local boards, including the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers and University Circle, Inc.

Danny and his wife, Lin, reside in Cleveland Heights. They have a daughter who is a former sergeant in the U.S. Army and a son who is an NFL scout for the Chicago Bears.
